VISUAL ARTS TO JOBS

The Visual Arts to Jobs program is a work readiness through visual art training program. It provides an opportunity for the youth to explore, express, analyze and achieve through video production, media arts and technical skills the ability to create a final video product. It also provides the opportunity to build personal and professional confidence through education and skill acquisition.

Our Visual Arts to Jobs program teaches participants the job readiness skills of video production, social media, and project management.  Students learn how to create a program, acquire talent, choose locations, hire crew and create a final video production. As a result, the students achieve new hard skills with the ability to be hired for entry-level positions. In addition, students learn the soft skills of business and project management that can be transferred to any job they choose to pursue.

Some specific skills include:
  • Project management
  • Financial literacy
  • Production development
  • Group participation
  • Leadership
  • Public speaking
  • Networking
  • Entrepreneurship

Our goal is to create an environment that fosters personal and professional success for youth.
